Treasures at Your Feet

Holy seashells!!! Guess what was found–in my backyard?!

A big, gorgeous seashell! 

My husband was working on our dock along the river, and he found a huge clam shell laying next to it. (Yes, it was already empty, in two halves, and completely cleaned out.)

It has such beautiful colors, reminding me of an abalone shell (only much lighter–more white and pink).

It had me reflect upon how often we believe that the treasures we seek are only found far away from where we are.

For example, I don't expect to find seashells here in Wisconsin. When I go to the ocean and walk the beach, that is when I believe seashell treasures will be found.

However, that is not the only truth. Just look at this gorgeous shell found right in my backyard!

Therefore, how many "treasures" may already be at your feet, yet you believe that they are far off from where you are?

Not only seashells, but dreams, desires, goals... whatever the treasure may be for you.

What if it is already here, right where you are now? Yet it goes unnoticed because you are not looking for it there–you are focusing on it being out there somewhere.

I invite you to pause right now and look–what treasures are already available to you?
