Do you go into perfectionist mode? Wanting to make things better? While improving things are great, we also need to be aware of when they really need to be improved or if we are spending too much time behind the scenes focused on a masterpiece rather than getting the message out there.
That's what this week's UNSCRIPTED was all about!
You can watch the replay here (ironically there was a bad internet connection- making the visual unclear but the message comes through great!)
Or you can listen to the podcast version here.
What inspired this message, was the recent release of the book trailer for my newest book.
I shared it with my Backstage Pass community first, so needed to have it completed in time for that.
While it all came together clearly, and portrayed the message... my head thought, "I can make it better!"
Little details I see, that others likely don't, were calling me to do more with it.
Yet, that would take more time... behind the scenes, and I wouldn't be sharing my message!
That's when the wise voice chimed in and I heard:
To focus on sharing the message! That that is what is important. Not creating a video masterpiece.
So, I invite you to reflect: Where may you be stuck hiding behind the scenes in perfectionist mode wanting to make something better, rather than sharing?
How can you release that need to make it a masterpiece, and realize your message is important and ready to be shared?
Someone is waiting to hear what you have to say. It's ready. You are enough. It's time. Shine as YOU.
